Re: Internet problem

I'd try to clear local cashe files in your browser, and try a forced refresh (ctr+F5 or ctrl+r).
Might also be that someone messed with your computer's DNS cache. Here's a guide on how to clear it on windows. If you don't use windows then google DNS cache :)

Re: D&D Over Skype

I used to play D&D over internet with some friends. We used skype for voice chat, and we used MapTool for our gaming board. MapTool is awesome for just this type of gaming. A DM can prepare his campaign before the gaming session, hide npcs from players view, set up where the wall goes so the Vis...

Re: For the young and restless

Really, paid internships are few and far between, and $14/hour is terrific for one. Typically, your pay for an internship is the knowledge you gain and the experience to add to your resume, so this is a huge plus. If I was in that kind of position and was wanting a job in the game industry, I would...

Re: Pro C#2010 and the .NET 4 Platform (book)

Thanks for the review Jack. We're just about to start a new semester at school, and we're supposed to use Programming ASP.net 3.5, but I've been looking for an alternative book (mostly to get a more updated view of the technology), and I just found it ;)

Re: How to make money with your games.

The only way to keep a large amount of players and get some to pay for playing is to accept that not everyone wants to spend money. Those who want to should be given some cool extra features or privileges, but don't force a player to pay through annoyance or incomplete games or any such synthetic ex...

Re: back to the IRC question

IRC Basically, most people use it for live chat, where it's possible to maintain a channel and administer it. One of the most popular clients to use (at least back in the day) is/was mIRC, maybe you've heard of it. It's also possible to transfer files and allot more, but I haven't explored all the ...

Re: The Last Airbender

Not seen that many movies from that director so I can't judge him, but I saw the sixth sense, and I liked that movie. Sure, could have been better, but that goes for allot of Hollywood movies.

Re: Website Design

I think the backdrop is amazing, but the foreground boxes with gray gradient still needs some work IMO. I don't think they go too well with the backdrop.
I'd try to avoid gradients over larger areas for a start :)

Re: Features for fighting game

Yeah, I'm thinking the powers should have some basic stats that I can just edit and tweak. For example, I imagine I'll have different types of damage (not sure if I'll go classic with fire, cold, lightning etc, or if I'll try to be more creative). That will allow me to have powers that can have vari...
