Celador Online

Hello guys, not been here actively in a little (or sadly programming at all)

If any old members remember this

Unfortunately the game died due to being unable to find an artist and eventually work becoming a bit too much at the time.

But its back, with a new name, same programmer, and a new artist.

Many of the features have being recoded, every one knows their code 6 months ago is terrible, try 3 years!

Theres a few more done too including our first rare monster and a teaser video to be released soon along with the forum.

The game is actively developed in some way almost every day, but work is always busy especially coming up to christmas but I will try and post new stuff as it appears.

ToDo: (so stop being lazy)
Finalising battle system, mainly PvP and catching
At least start a map editor
One huge scrolling map
Recode entire server
Think of SOME kind of story :P
Add some new features whilst you're not doing much.

Looks pretty cool ! Are you self programming or making in rpg maker ?and is it gonna be single player or multiplayer? And as a word of advice, don't try to make a copy of "that other monster game" ;)

100% custom coded in C#. And fully online RPG, working well so far. And yeah don't want to copy, just inspiration, its a good jumping off point but unfortunately my creativity is lacking :P

Nice! You'll need something that makes your game different to compete with the other games in teh genre, but so far so good, definitely. I'd also recommend making sure you can set up a strong community that allows for things like trades and PvP as that is what is pushing Pokemon up right now. Just make sure you have so many different things people have to try you :D Good luck, I'm rooting for you !

Actual features i'm on sure about at the moment but I have a few ideas of secret monsters for example in pokemon term, if pidgey is holding a sun stone and evolves whilst raining it becomes a ho-oh (sun + rain = rainbow). And various other little hidden goodies. Not entirely sure yet, depends on how it hard it would be for players.

Monsters are captured in crystals at the moment which is kept on their wrist, they start of with a one crystal wristband then get it upgraded as the game progresses, to a maximum of 5. There is also (already) various unique moves to certain monsters. If a monster has fire on it (like Agnion) Flame body will incase it in fire causing damage to an opponent when attacked with a melee attack.
