picking/finding browser game engine

Post by Freddie »

Hello everyone.

I'm in the need of a free (Opensource?) php/mysql game engine. I have spent hours on finding the right, but everytime i install it, i doesn't really like it. So i'm gonna ask you; Do you any good ones? I don't have any specific requirments, only a good design and a engine you don't need to be an expert to use. (But i will preferer a crime/mafia, soccer or medieval game engine)

Here is a list of any engines i've tested:

(First of all, i just wan't to say; I have read the list you've made on this site)
2moons
Devana
Dragon Knight
Gangster Legends
McCodes v1 (Free version)
and some more i can't remember.

I might also buy one, so if you got a BRILLIANT engine wich is not free, then post it anyway. And does anyone have experience with rpgbunny.com, as they seems (But only seems) to have some good games...

Kind Regards,
Freddie.

NW-E seems good, if you buy the full version. But 100$ is a bit too much for me ;)
But thanks anyway :D

In all the time you spent looking for one you could have started building one :P

I have thought about that, but i don't even nearly have enough experience to do so. Further more, i'm only 14 years old, and i can hardly speak/understand english. And i can't make designs, as im not creative and i don't know the CSS language at all. (The sadly truth). And i don't know how to get any graphics for the game.

There are so many engines out there. I just can't find the right myself. That's why i'm asking you, as you got much more experience...

But thanks for the advice again.

ah i see. Well it depends on what type of game you want. I fixed a open source space game called the Merchant but its some tough code and a very expansive game.

here is the original github. Good luck on finding any version running. I guess tonight I can throw up a version.

Here is our list of pretty much every browser game engine out there. I am sure there are some missing from it, but it has the majority of them, I am sure.

No offense, but did you read this line:

I have checked the list out, and it's awesome... But it just doesn't really suits my needs.

I've tried (Yeah, i know it's quite "nooby" to use a such site, but i did it anyway :P ) http://mafiacreator.com and it's just totally awesome. But you've got a lot of restrictions if you don't purchase, wich i'm probally gonna do. But do anyone know if it's a scam site like http://ravan.info, wich is a copy of mccodes.

Kind regards,
Freddie.
