What would you like to see in a Browser Based Game?

Post by vitinho444 »

Hello all indie resource community.

So im close to release my first Browser based game, its a business Simulator, close to reality.
Although, it is not a game category that is playable for every average person.. Its not some 11 yr old kid (not saying bad to 11yr kids) that will simulate a business.. i think xD

So what im looking for is a new idea, a complete new idea for a new type of game.

If i proceed with your idea, you will be the project leader and my team will work hard to develop the game.

You may think: Hey, i got an excelent idea but why say to this guy, i can use it my own!

Well.. im not searching for a gold mine or so.. im just searching for a little push, the start is the hardest part for me
So.. if you have some idea, or any comment or maybe just reply for saying random features that you would like to see in a Browser based just tell me :)

PS: You all rock :)

Since your current game is close to release, why don't you try to make some adjustments to make it more accessible or more fun? Maybe create mechanics to allow players to directly compete? I just don't think that you should deep-six your game just because you perceive it won't be successful. That is one of the things that makes indie devs bounce from unfinished project to project!

Hum so if i understood, you are saying to improve this first game and see how it goes, then try other?

Not a bad idea, but my problem really is that im a bit negative-person.. But do you have some ideas in mind for make it competitive

You may need the game features:
- The player can open and develop one or more business as free as in reality.
When you open your first business you start only with the basic service in that business. You can start developing your empire or just upgrade one business to the top.
- In time, the player needs to pay taxes, wages and extra-Care services, varying from business to business.
As in reality, all types of businesses are open to paying taxes to the government employees' salaries and other services such as water, electricity and gas to the respective companies in the Business World is no different, once you open a business you need to make the necessary changes that start to make profit and not loss. Sometimes this task may seem difficult at first but with time and some strategy you will end up in the right place.
- The player can decide to keep paying rent or buy the store.
Another real fact, is the stores quality. Paying rent for a store, or having it as your own is very different in Business World. The player has the opportunity of deciding whether to buy the store or continue to pay rent.
- The player can also choose the location of his store, thus increasing the customer base and profit at the end of the payments.
This is sometimes a tatical option for the shop keepers. You own your little business but what if i move it out to a better location? It's up to you to make that decision.
- For every business there is the possibility to buy upgrades to improve some of the employees and business services.
Of course, a business can not stand if the products and services are always the same. In Business World players can choose to buy upgrades for each business by improving it in many ways.
Thanks for the reply :)
