Just found this, you may already have it or something like it but

http://dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net/Download.html

allows you to play dos games on new PCs. Works great on my Win764 bit laptop. Playing Scorched Earth! Also there are free games listed below the download! Excellent way to get some creative juices going!
