Visual basic program

Post by Baseball435 »

Hey everyone. Well i don't know who has ever heard of visual basic (vb) but you practically create your own interactive programs and is so interactive and fun to just play around with. I am taking a class this year for visual basic and want to create a program to impress my teacher. But the problem Is, I don't have any ideas on what to make. So that's where you guys come in. Please please pleasee give me ideas on programs to create that might solve a problem or make something that you do manually happen quicker by pressing a few buttons. Thanks everyone!

who hasn't heard of Vb. It is not a interactive program. Visual studio is a programming tool to code VB.

Lookup a program called winRPG. Was built with old VB but very fun. Build something like that.

I personally can't stand the syntax of BASIC (too much writing when a simple bracket can get the meaning across), but I absolutely love C#, VB.NET's little brother who has outgrown VB.NET and now has to protect him at school. But of course they are both wrappers to the exact same IL (the underlying language of .NET), so it is just a personal choice which one you prefer. In the beginning of .NET, C# had much more functionality than VB.NET (which was a bit shocking to VB6 users since VB was the popular language), but VB.NET has been caught up and can now do anything that C# can. VB.NET also has a bit more flexibility, such as the use of global functions and variables (C# is 100% object-oriented), although I do not like procedural programming.

EDIT: And I just hit over 2000 myself a few days ago!

Lol. Your lucky that you made and started learning LAN chat. My teacher doesn't teach it, he just tells you what to type. It kinda blows

Unfortunately, that is how a lot of pre-university programming courses work. The teachers simply don't have the time and resources to ensure that everyone is digesting all of the material.
