Hall's Unity work log

Post by hallsofvallhalla »

Thought I would make a log on my Unity work. Here is my starting example.
http://www.forsakensanctum.com/unitytes ... 20run.html

From here I will try to make every time you click the box it updates a mysql database on the website then change a value on the page.

I wrote a script that everytime it plays unity updates the database, try it out

first go to

http://www.forsakensanctum.com/unitytest/display.php

and see the plays, then play the game and then check the counter muahahaha

i know its not much but its a step in the right direction my friends.

yeo, next step is to retrieve that data from the mysql and turn it into a variable in the 3d game.

Nice little demo. Since it's free now why don't we use this for the community project?

I tried it last night when I got home, and I rather liked it. How long did that take you too set up?

(Can't try it at work, cause I cannot install the Unity player)

hmm well all together it took about 2 hours to setup the world and get everything ready. Maybe less.

I will donate this to the community project and get it on a cvs repository.

Thats not bad. I really got to start playing with it...

I am writing a book, and would love to turn it into an MMO also. Some as beautiful as the tropical paradise demo, others parts of the land as really dark.
