can you get a screenshot? I would like to see what you are typing in the url and what its reverting to. Also like herko said, check to make sure wamp is running.

It has been a while but when I used IE it seemed like I had a problem in the url box if I didn't add a http:// or a www. that it would just do a search.

You can try putting -- http://localhost/

You can also try to click on your wamp icon in your system tray and click localhost there.

or even better click on your wamp icon and go to localhost.

Yeah IE gets a little confused sometimes. I do what halls said and click the localhost through WAMP's tray icon. On Safari,Firefox I have it on the link bar and on Chrome it's my homepage lol.
