Morrowind
anyone still play this? Would you if a entire new world was built with it?
I really won't have time to work on a full fledged game for a bit but I still have a game world I want to finish, so I have been toying around with using a game with a sand box to mod. Like morrowind, Oblivion, or NWN.
I was thinking of Morrowind over oblivion because of the minimal requirements.
Just curious if anyone plays it.

Re: Morrowind
I stopped playing it after endless frustrations with the combat system, and probably won't play unless the combat was made something more like Oblivion.

Re: Morrowind
good point. I have heard about problems with combat. I myself havent experienced too many problems. I think I would be better off with Oblivion.

Re: Morrowind
i have to double post here
I am really going through a conundrum here and I am trying to find the best resolution. I have so much to do as far as the tutorials, my sites, and some other things that I just have no time for creating a game from scratch or using a game engine.
I still however must work on a game! So my thoughts are to take something like Morrowind, Oblivion, NWN, or even NWN2 and creating my world in it. I just can't decide which to use. I am leaning towards Oblivion due to the better graphics and better combat, but also thinking about NWN2 for multi-player and the ease of creating a complete new world.

Re: Morrowind
well its just I have this massive want to create a RPG!!! Ugh I have been trying for so long and just can't seem to find the platform I need.
Re: Morrowind
NWN1/2 will be your best bet I think. It would give everyone the chance to play together in multiplayer...either helping or killing one another
Since a custom world for NWN is modular those that have experience with the engine can build dungeons, zones, npc's, and script events that plug and play right in with your world.
I myself have been dieing to write quests and story arcs for any rpg, mmo, or mud. So I'm here to help where needed. 6 years GMing various pen and paper games from D&D to Cyberpunk to RIFTS.

you just named my 3 favorite pen and paper games! Dude you just got me wanting to build a NWN PW now. Thinking back to all the fun pen and paper gamesRavinos wrote:NWN1/2 will be your best bet I think. Hmm NWN1 or 2. Thats always the difficult decision. I am thinking 2.
Re: Morrowind
NWN 2 is the best. I'll just have to buy it to help out lol.
http://www.direct2drive.com Had the base game for $5 2 weeks ago on their $5 deals section. They still have the xp packs for $5 right now though. Something told me I should have bought it then lol. Normal price for the game is $30.
Personally I've been dying for a Cyberpunk/Shadowrun MMO that isn't Neocron.

hmm i have a extra code lying around here somewhere, got to find the manual its in. I may not be able too though. I bought it a long time ago, but bought the gold edition later.
I actually started to make a future mod to NWN2 a while back. Had some great looking stuff made but it was so much work.
