FPSC Bonanza

I think i will buy it to go along with DBPro. Was also thinking of moding the source to add shaders and headshots.

Though the source is free to DBPro owners as far as I can tell.

I had bought FPS Creator long ago, and am going to spend some money on GRID and DIRT 2 (my mom is so happy that I want a non-M rated game for once ) I'll probably try what you said, add in headshots and shaders. I may also mess around with improving the A.I. a bit.

P.S. I got DGS in the mail today. Get yours yet?

For DBPro I will be trying to mess with some coding to get some shaders to work, will let you guys know how that goes :)

Have you guys messed with FPSC X10 yet? Just wondering, since that runs on DX10 and already has all the shaders and what-not.

Ah, I didnt realize it was COMPLETELY vista-exclusive. Thought it was just made specifically to work perfectly dev'ing on vista.

It uses Direct x10. You can mod the FPSC to add some pretty elements and still keep a large player base.

Not true! There was a third party company which tried to port it to XP, but they failed (http://alkyproject.blogspot.com/2008/01 ... hat-i.html).
DirectX 10 is still Vista + Win7 only.

Some more sources:

Also DX11 comes for Win7 & Vista soon ;)
