The woman in black

Post by hallsofvallhalla »

BAHHHHHHH another stupid movie with a stupid plot with stupid attempts at scaring you! Baaaaahhhh crap crap crap. Ending was crap, start was crap. Whole movie was crap......rant over.

I was hoping it was going to be good but it took forever to get into the movie then it lead nowhere. The only scary parts are what it shows in the trailer. The ending is just silly.

Never even heard of it. Is it in theaters now? I can usually get a primal feel for when I am fast forwarding past a horror movie commercial on the DVR, and will stop and rewind back to watch it. But this one is an unknown to me.

Ohhhh, yeah, I did see that trailer. I think this was supposed to let everyone know Daniel Radcliff isn't Harry Potter anymore lol. Even their little "last second scare" at the end of the trailer wasn't even remotely creepy. Well...sorry it sucked! And thanks for the heads-up lol.

I have heard ravings upon ravings about Cabin in the Woods. However, they have also said it has definite comedic elements. Some people like that in horror movies, but some people don't. I don't (unless it is a comedy first and horror second, like Sean of the Dead), but I can overlook it for a good, scary horror movie.

So yea, I just saw this movie with my wife.

I have to agree whole-heartedly with Halls. By the 30 minute mark I had pretty much figured out where the plot was going and what seemed like 2 hours the movie seemed to drag along and not getting to the point.

As for the ending, the only way I can justify it is that one way or another the writers thought that this would be a "happy" ending for the father and son.

This has me thinking That either writers/director's are getting un-creative or the horror genera is seriously in trouble if they must rely on loud surprise sounds and silent suspenseful scenes.
