Looking For A Team
Looking For A Team
I have recently begun coding a new project, Viva La Revolution!, which will be based in "_____". I didn't get too far when I realized I would not be able to do it my self. I know PHP And MYSQL along with HTML & CSS. I am looking for 1 to 2 programmers and at least one Graphic Artist. I'm not looking to be a manager And not do anything, because I will do coding. So PM me or leave a reply.

Re: Looking For A Team
That would be great! If you wrote up a small (forum post-sized) summary of the game, plus showed part or all of the GDD, that would give everyone interested in joining a great idea of the game!

Here is the description...
The year is 1781...
To Arms! To Arms! You are a loyal soldier of La République de l'Empereur (The Republic of the Emperor), a French speaking Nation where Portugal and Spain once stood (They fell in 1652 and 1745). Your country is on the brink of revolt. Civil and Political Unrest is sweeping the nation and everyone is joining the newly formed "L'Armée populaire de la République de l'Empereur" (The People's Army of the Republic of the Emperor). As a Soldier, you and what is left of the Royal Army, must fend off the ever growing People's Army.

That is the setting. What we are interested in is more in-depth info about how the game will play, what genre it is, etc.

All of that is coming up... The GDD has been delayed a bit... Had a meeting to go to (I was notified 3 hours before the plane left) so I don't have access to my home computer. The Genre is A Mix of Role playing, Simulation, action and Strategy.

Re: Looking For A Team
Here is part of my GDD. More to come. I am not uplaoding the whole thing because it is pretty long.
Game Overview:
--------------------
Viva La Revolution is a free massively multiplayer online role-playing simulation game. Viva La Revolution is about role-playing. When playing the game, the end-users are not only playing as an avatar; but also they are investing a part of themselves into what they would dream to be if they were living in the revolutionary era.
Excerpt from the "Interaction" section of my GDD:
-----------------------------------------------------
Players will have the opportunity to interact through various ways. For communicating, there will be a forum, along with in-game chat being implemented within the first few months. The economy will be player run. Players will have the option to trade with others, craft there own items, or buy them from the armory. (The armory will be player stocked. Any items that a player receives in battle may be sold to the armory for gold or silver. Players purchasing an item will not see the name of the person who sold it to the armory).
