Hey Everyone!
I'm Fish. Some of you may know me as a Minions of Mirth dev (as BellyFish. yup, I lost the belly) from a few years ago or maybe from the Torque MMO Kit forums. I'm now a game developer for Flowerpot Games. I've been developing software for a very long time and recently shelved all of my PC game WIP and started focusing on Android game development.
I have a new game out called Pancakes!!! Check out the demo http://bit.ly/PancakesDemo and buy it if you like it http://bit.ly/PancakesFull
Indie game development is a tough business with no guarantees. Even highly polished and stable games are easily drowned out by the noise. So to be an indie dev, you need to have enough passion to keep doing it and keep working at it. But above all you need to keep the scope small enough that you or your team, with your given skills, can complete the project in a reasonable time frame. Otherwise, people burn out and interest wanes.
It's cool to be hanging out in forums with hallsofvallhalla again.
Cheers!
Fish

Re: Hiyas!
Ahh, welcome
I was about as close as possible to the TMMO Kit community as could be without actually being in it myself, having been an moderator on mmorpgmaker.com hehe
I recall hearing you mentioned a few times in conversations (people always love to talk about knowing the developers; I guess it is like "knowing a guy in the band" lol). Glad to have you!
I am myself getting more interested in Android development. I don't have an Android device at the moment, but am hopefully getting an Asus Eee Pad Transformer in the next couple of weeks, and I am excited about being able to develop for it with Java! Very cool to have another Android dev around here, and when (hopefully not "if") I get my tablet, I will definitely check out your title!

Welcome and great to see you again!
Game looks great. Do you still fool with MOM or the Kit?

Re: Hiyas!
I abandoned the kit long ago. When the MoM revision came out I did some testing, but that's about all.

Re: Hiyas!
kinda figured as most of us abandoned it. Great tool but just never worked out.
Re: Hiyas!
Hi welcome! You wouldn't happen to know of any good indie game publishing tutorials or articles?
