Just want to say, RIP to Steve Jobs Co-Founder to Apple, INC who passed away today. He will be left, and definitely left a legacy to be remembered!

Wwwhooaaaa...that was awfully fast after his step-down! I have my problems with Apple's business model, of course, but I have nothing but respect for the man. Like Gates, he was one of the original Digital Era hustlers. He has had a hand in early home computers, web standards, Adobe, Apple of course and even game companies. Probably a ton more beyond that (I know there were a few more interesting things in his career you wouldn't expect, but I can't remember). EDIT: Oh, Pixar was another odd one he had his hand in!

It was believed that Jobs was still going to be close to the day-to-day operations of Apple after stepping-down, but it looks like they are going to have to forage on without him much sooner than they thought.

Well, it sounds like he had some influence in his time. Hope that was what he was shooting for, for his tenure in this world.

Even without being a huge Apple fan, I definitely believe he accomplished way more in his life than he was ever shooting for when he was younger lol. Most people don't let their minds even drift to thinking that big.

have you heard some of the stuff about the sweat shops and child labor that he was using to build the over priced macs?

Kind of disheartening.

Looking for a link. I heard it on the radio.

Apple Admits Child Labor & Sweatshops Used to Build iPhones

But, if I avoided a company every time I heard they utilize a sweatshop in some foreign country, I would only be able to buy from local mom & pop stores.
