Epic Song!

Post by 62896dude »

Hello people!

For my next video, I need to find a song that is as epic as you can possibly imagine, hahaha :P

So my question is... What is the most epic song(s) you have ever heard??

The only condition is that it has to be Two Steps From He'll type music, so pretty much any trailer music (as it is commonly referred to as) or other similar sounding music.

Thanks everyone!

There is some song from The Blackhole soundtrack that I always thought sounded pretty epic. It is more "mysterious/weird/unknown" epic, though instead of "elven army marching" or "duel to the death" epic. Anyway, I don't know the name of the song, but I know it is on The Blackhole soundtrack (late 70's sci-fi, I think by Disney). It is the first song in this unrelated video. The second song in the video is some awful NES-sounding song from Bladerunner that I always felt ruined the mood of the video, but hey...to each their own lol.

Rebecca Black - Friday or Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You up

are both really shitty songs so don't use them!

You'll probably find what you need on here:

I'm a huge fan of trailer/soundtrack music, it's just about all I listen to. I'm not sure you're going to find much out there as epic as TSfH. Some music I enjoy though that might be considered in a similar vein:

Just Like You Imagined - Trailer 300
Requiem For A Tower - LoTR Two Towers Trailer
The Jihad - Master and Commander Trailer / Children of Dune soundtrack
Pompeii - Various .. E.S. Posthumus does all kinds of trailer/soundtrack work, including stuff for the NFL, and the upcoming release Battlefield 3. Most of their work is a little too techno/synth/repetitive for me, but some of their songs are good, and they're used in about everything.
Aggressive Expansion - Batman Begins
Battle Without Honor or Humanity - Kill Bill
Cantiga 166 - Conan The Barbarian soundtrack (without choir). Different than the rest, but no less epic.

I believe it`s called intermediate music, try googling that term or youtube it, i suppose both will deliver some good results.
