Apparently Microsoft gave out a bunch of Windows 8 developer tablets at a tech expo or something - they are showing up all over eBay now
Pretty pricey, but you could be one of the first to have one
I understand that. It is a full version of Windows, not a tablet OS, technically. However, "developer tablet" makes it sound like maybe it comes pre-loaded with Visual Studio, or has some other things that are specially targeted to developers. That is not the case. In fact, there is nothing special about the tablet at all. "Developer" just refers to the fact that it is a developer preview of Windows 8. Once it gets released to the public the version on there will be dead in the water, and be unupdatable until a real version of Windows 8 is installed.Xaleph wrote:Actually its really a developer tablet ( you can use it any way you like ) but the tablets are specially chosen and made for developers. It has an i5 core, it`s more a computer rather then a tablet, they get hot as well. It comes with a keyboard specially for developers. So yeah, it`s a "developers" tablet.
