bought a tablet for drawing
bought a tablet for drawing
Hi guys, just want to know what your experience with a tablet is so far. Just bought an tablet ( wacom ) intuos. Works fine so far, however, still have issues binding keys to gestures and binding the scroll to zooming. Anyway, as soon as i have something to show for, i`ll post it here. My design skills are terrible though..

I love my tablet. I don't use it as much as I should but love it nonetheless.

My wife just got a newer Intuos this last Christmas and really enjoys it. She has had one or another for years now, but recently traded out her old one (an Intuos I) for a newer one and really enjoys it

Hehe well, good to hear positive reactions. I did try it out, and it really works well. Still have issues binding the keys though. How hard can it be right? Anway, did sketch some stuff, somehow, it looks real shitty hahaha. All in due time i guess.

Go back to working with just basic drawings like for proportion, then the detail will come with it after. It takes a little getting used to.Xaleph wrote:Anway, did sketch some stuff, somehow, it looks real shitty hahaha. All in due time i guess.
Keep it up tho! Don't give up.

I bet having a tablet is a good way to stay motivated for drawing. With analog drawing, you really have no investment, and it really doesn't matter if you stop doing it. But with a tablet, you can keep telling yourself "Man, I already spent $300 on that tablet. I better keep using it or it was a waste" lol

Hehe motivation is always an issue, regardless of the price. I need to be in some sort of a state of mind to do certain things. But I didn`t buy the tablet just for fun, I am going to try and make some cool stuff with it. However, everything in due time. It`s always good to have it laying around in case you need it.
Besides, the tablet can be used as an interface as well. It`s not just pure for drawing in Ps or Ai. Although I doubt i`ll ever use it as an input device, heheh.
