2D Desert Tiles?
2D Desert Tiles?
Anyone know where to get some free desert tiles or just ground tiles in general? I googled things for about an hour and a half with no results

Have you checked the classic: Reiner's Tileset? He has some decent sand tiles, as well as some rocky ground tiles that you could re-color, and some props for a desert scene, too, such as cacti, tumble weeds and others.

thats a great site and also on the Indie-resource main page I have some more links to sites with tilesets. I am going to be rebuffing all the resource links soon,

Thanks and I have a quick question. I downloaded a huge multitiled image how do I seperate them to what I want? I tried messing with it in paint but it only ended in failure.

Yep, Photoshop/Gimp is your friend when dealing with tile sheets! If they are all the same size and you are familiar with another programming language you may be able to make a batch processing application to do it.
