Err..wha? Is it a Google Android pad, or an iPad? An iPad is not a category of thing! It is a specific item!

Apple iPad you mean?
Android sucks. Just felt like saying it. Thanks.

Well, I wouldn't say android sucks, but it they are certainly two different things.
Android allows you to tweak it a bit more and is more 'computerish' because of that. Programs don't have to be approved and there are less restrictions on use.
Meanwhile, ipad is more of a consumer device. It limits you to the app store and whatever Mac demands of it. That is both a positive and a negative. You are assured of quality programs and OS integrity, at the cost of choice.
I'm afraid to say it, but this is reminiscent of the PC vs MAC debacle.

I just bought an Android phone over an iPhone, the only feature that the iPhone had that I wanted was their app selection.. once I went to the android market I figured out really fast that they have the same games. I have a game called 'World War' were you get friends, and I have my girlfriends dad as a buddy on it and hes on the ipod touch, so they even share the same information across different OS.
The only reason why I went with the android over the iphone was because the iphone was $50 more on a 3 year plan than my 3 year plan android, and my android has twice as much internal space and can have external SD cards to add to the storage.
TL;DR Android market has the same games and apps as the ipods do, or pretty close.

Apple is very stingy with storage, that is for sure. I think it is just part of their plan to keep making models every 10 months - 1 year. Start the iPad at 64gb, and then 5 models later finally offer a 512gb. I guess they hope it will offer them news-worthy room for growth. The classic iPods already come with up to 160gb of storage, so they could make any of their classic sized devices and up come with that much today.
While I am not a fan of Apple, I got an iPod Touch for the superior eBook reading capabilities (Stanza is amazing, and only on iOS), as that is what I was going to be using my device for the most. While a dedicated eBook reader may have had a bit better readability, they cost more for less storage and don't do anywhere near as much.

Re: google ipad
sorry meant epad. Google pad whatever it is. I love it. I hate macs and I tried out the ipad and was not impressed. My epad has SOOOOOO many more features than the ipad. Front/rear cameras, tons better specs, oh yeah it can use flash!!! ect...
but this isnt a mac vs google debate. i am sure they both have their goods and bads. The google pad does what i need it to do.

I just stumbled across this a minute ago, and figured I would link it. Apparently, what Pax said about Android vs. Iphone being like PC vs. Mac has more merit than I first thought. The open nature of the Android OS is leading to the rise of some viruses and malware spreading through the Android community. AVG makes a free Android anti-virus app. You can find it here. Since they are such a respected company used by millions for their PCs, I don't think you would have anything to lose to try it out.
EDIT: Ohh, cool! It also has anti-theft features built-in, such as being able to locate your device through GPS. As long as any ads or anything are not too annoying, this sounds like a must-download!

I just bought my wife the HTC Inspire. Will get here in the next couple of days. I talked her out of the iPhone, but she wanted something she could read her books on. When she found out the HTC had a kindle app for it, she was sold! Will let everyone know how well it is and how well she likes it. I will def make sure she grabs the avg anti-virus for her phone for sure!
