Or Opera, it's even better.

trust me, there is no way IE runs faster than Chrome and if it does it is because of all the features it does not have. It is like saying I drive a go cart because all the features in a Mercedes uses to much power.

IE has so much wrong with it that you miss things. It is very un-developer friendly.

I thought Opera was on the same level as Chrome and Firefox but obviously not if you cannot play my game. i will look into why not later. I am not going to support browsers that refuse to follow standards. *cough IE... until a later date.

I think Opera's hangup is with the library I am using.

IE 9 is basically completely standard-compliant, so that will eventually cure the problems it causes in web development. However, it is still the slowest of the bunch based on early benchmarks. IE 8's JS interpreter was about 3x slower than Firefox, the next slowest, whereas IE 9 is only about 15 - 25% slower than FF. A huge improvement, but not fast enough to compete for the #1 slot (which is very close tie between Chrome and Opera). However, IE 9 is still in development and its speeds are improving with every CP release. It may actually over-take Firefox.

IDK, i've always used IE, and firefox is not a option. IDk about "speed" but IE just seems to run faster. Epsecially when it comes to saveing images. I hate saveing images of FF. I wan't to use a picture as a referance for something i'm useing on blender. It takes me a few sonceds to get it on IE, but a few minutes to get it on FF, and on FF its never in the right folder. -.- Some of its "extra features" are what gets in the way of doing what i like to do.

Firefox has many memory leaks, which actually can cause it to sometimes run slower than IE (and freeze tabs, and crash your entire OS lol). I would suggest trying out Chrome or Opera if you can. I have to give the nod to Chrome, however, if only because Chrome's installation wizard imports your bookmarks and everything else from any browser, whereas Opera (at least when I installed it a while back) had an extremely convoluted system of importation that required making a settings file in your existing browser and loading it into Opera.

I found FireFox is a HUGE memory user. Why I got rid of it and went to Chrome. I have to keep IE on my system, or I cannot work from home.
