Then again, some issues are there for us to do, because they trust us as developers. This means secure connections for payment etc. I dont need to hear that they think it`s safe because of some icon ..

Definitely mostly for the lulz. A lot of it is exaggerations, considering the fact that some of the things they mention are standards-based things that simply make things easier for the dev, and were never meant to be known by the end-user.
