Robot Fighters of Galaxy.

Have a project in the works but not much media? How about an idea you are turning into a project? Maybe a game design document you want to start with. This is the place.

Robot Fighters of Galaxy.

Post by Age of Fable »

I've had a few false starts, but I've gotten started on a new game.

It's called Robot Fighters of Galaxy, and the theme is sumo-wrestling anime-style giant robots.

The only thing I've done is the system of registering and logging in.

If people could try it, and give me any feedback, that'd be great.

Works great so far! And what an idea, too! I am actually pretty excited about this if it gets a bit goofy with the already self-parodying source material.

Atleast for myself (a survey of just 1, granted), not keen on e-mail confirmation. Also it's a bit of a jump from your age of fable not needing any registration?

Jack says some things about e-mail confirmation over here, that I think are applicable.

The reason I had email confirmation for this game is to stop people having more than one account (not that people can't get extra accounts, but it discourages casual cheating anyway).

In Age of Fable it doesn't really matter if people cheat, because each game is one-player and doesn't interact with anyone else's game.

However, if there's a better way to achieve the same effect I'd be happy to use it instead.

i would just say to put the register part on a different page, or make a drop down with it in ajax if you have that experience. It is just kinda confusing a little bit. Im sure this will be a great game though!

I've restored everyone's account.

So far I've done the registration, logging in, keeping track of when to run turns and viewing system messages.

The next part is the actual wrestling.
