okay so I am not liking the real time movement. I love the real time update but do not like the pixel by pixel movement. I think I may integrate a grid system like before except much larger and add in in the real time update. It slows the game down a bit but keeps it moving.

i dont see why it wouldnt work providing you declair that the divs are contained inside the relative div.

but if u say its not i wont argue :p i dnt know how proper ajax works this stuff lol

well i am not wise enough to tell you why it didn't work :) could have been my screw up. Works now though!

Halls, did you ever check out gameQuery? They released a version a few days ago that includes a fully-functioning tile engine. While I have not looked at it myself, jQuery has wonderful AJAX support so I am sure that you could make online games with it. Some of the demos are very impressive.

yeah jquery is rly good tbh. its lighter than ajax and easier to do stuff as far as im concerned... i know some people dont like it... but shit happens :p

well i have learned the old fashion way. So technically it would put me behind having to relearn javascript all over again by learning jquery. I have heard tons of good stuff about it but I seem to be doing pretty good without it. Why add mud tires to your truck if you live in the city?

It wouldn't be all over again, it would just be cutting out all of how it actually works and just saying do it.

Gamequery looks interesting, but at .5 I don't think I would use it for my team's site just yet.
