MMO Web Engine

Post by hallsofvallhalla »

So I started back on my web engine. I am using Javascript/PHP/Ajax and trying to get the players to see each other. I finally was able to make it work!!

Those are two different connections that update when one moves. Problem is I cannot get more than 2 people, it fritzs out after that :)

Its a start though.

ugh its being a major pain. I can now get several people connected but I cannot get it to destroy the old sprite and the px location is way off. So as everyone walks the keep leaving their old copies and in the wrong locations. After a while there are tons of little guys everywhere :)

I will get it whooped though ;)

and yes mysql

Stuck in a rut though. I can get it to create the characters through a tick system but for the life of me I cannot get the dynamic named variables to detect themselves defined or not and stop creating multiple copies of themselves.

i am using the frame from my other project just as quick work around, it will change

anyways, thought it would be challenging and fun to build a player house system where the players can buy furniture and place it where they want.

Here you can buy the dresser then drag it anywhere in the house and then you can save it.

the furniture list is populated from the database so you can set limits like level or housing type.
