Oregon Trail

Post by hallsofvallhalla »

Think I have discussed this before but does anyone miss the old Oregon trail? Would make a fun browser game to play. Good for a quick play, have a leader board to see who could get the farthest and fastest.

Simple game play, awesome fun!

It is a firm IP these days, isn't it? I know back in the early days of computing, "Oregon Trail" was almost like "Tic-Tac-Toe", with tons of companies making their own versions of it. If it is a firm IP now, that would be too bad, because I think something like the original OT (with name intact) would draw a crowd as a browser-based PHP/AJAX game lol.

i agree the name would make the difference but I think making a futuristic version and calling it galaxy trail or so Armageddon trail or something might do well too.

It's mainly the game play that would be worth copying. Simplistic random events that make the game very hard to finish.
