Fiber is only in certain locations here, $50 a month for 30mbits I believe.

Makes me wanna know where...I pay $30/month for 3.5Mb/s on cable...though never had any problems with uploading speed loss, nor download speed loss...

The major fiber alternative, AT&T's U-Verse, is available here, but apparently the techs are incompetent with the new service (one of their own reps even told me that lol), so I guess I will just stay where I am and not risk losing internet for 1+ months while they try to figure out what they messed up :P

I'm getting 2.57 mb/s on my wireless, not sure if that number would be faster on host computer. More than enough speed for me though.. can't complain.

I pay $30/month for my fiber 100mbit/s :)

Just ran another speed test...this time I get 6.7 times the upload that I am paying for...that's just weird :P Call and complain maybe? :lol:

lol count yourself lucky tbh...


before 5 we are lucky to get just under a mb dl speed.... after 5, well god knows 99% of the the time i cant even complete a speed test lol.

unfortunatly i dont pay for the net so i cnt get it changed (not for the lack of trying tho) but my house mates are insistant on keeping the internet because its al with the sky package -.-

test ran at about 7:05 am...

No, it isn't Falken. I pay almost $60 / month for 5Mb/s download and 1Mb/s upload. This is cable connection. I could get fiber, but I have to pay $165 to get it installed, a bit more than I'm willing to at the moment, then I'd get 10/10 for $65 a month.

Even though Norway and Sweden are neighboring countries, prices and services are far apart. I live in one of the worlds most expensive countries though, everything costs more here :p
