Haha ye it is. That is because we got damn high taxes on alcohol here just to reduce how much people drink. The beer is almost ½ price in Denmark and Germany compared to here.Cayle wrote:OK, I was wrong, but I still take German beer to Sweden whenever I go and it is greatly appreciated.
Congrats Sweden! =)

Yeah, most bike-riding in the US is purely for fun, and not transportation. Most US cities developed after the automobile, thus it is not set up for manual transportation the way most places in Europe are. You could have a two hour bike ride just to the grocery store from your house in most suburbs

The city where I live is actually profiling itself as the bicycling town of Sweden. I take the bike to both school (5min) and to center (10min) and to the "big" shopping center is about 20min.
There are roads just for bicycles along most of the roads here atleast
But ye, US is a bit bigger and a bit farther distances than over here

Re: Congrats Sweden! =)
it would take at least 30 days at 100 miles a day to bike from Shore to shore in America.
At 20 minutes a day it would take 1 year, 63 days, and 12 hours..give or take a few days
I use to live way out in Missouri, out int he middle of the woods. Closest store, only a gas station, was 10 miles. closest grocery store was 35 miles and it was a small one. Closest house was about a mile.
