facebook dev looking for a team
facebook dev looking for a team
I have recently took an interest in to facebook integration, I would like to join a project where you have most of your game developed, so I can integrate it into facebook, since facebook is a large market, and your best bet to make any money off of a browser game.

Re: facebook dev looking for a team
i actually began working on a facebook game about a month ago but kept having trouble with the API. The API uses different commands or doesn't accept certain commands form JS.
I agree though facebook is a great market.

Re: facebook dev looking for a team
well i use the php facebook api and it's pretty straight forward and FBML is pretty easy too.
Re: facebook dev looking for a team
How good are you with the FB API, and what do you want for your cooperation?
Re: facebook dev looking for a team
I understand it pretty well, I might learn some as i go, but this is indie. I am very good with PHP and I have looked into the facebook api quite a bit. In exchange i would like to be able to implement my facebook payment system I am working on(I am planning on making a paypal type thing for facebook)

You want to experiment with a live game to get your paypal Facebook system up on a live game for the game developer to take payments through it, or for you to make sales through the game? Or you are wanting to negotiate some kind of percentage (in between the above two options)?
The indelible lord of tl;dr
Re: facebook dev looking for a team
Okay, since I am not so clear about what you said I will explain. I am working on a system like paypal except for facebook. Instead of paying with dollars like with paypal, you would purchase coins(not exactly sure what the currency would be called yet) this would create a universal currency for facebook instead of buying coins for every single game you find interesting. I will give developers the opportunity to use both my currency and their own currency, so they don't feel like I'm trying to take over their game. The coins will have a set value(Right now it's probably going to be 10 cents). The developer will set the amount of coins each item will cost depending on that value of 10 cents per coin, and instead of the developer being payed for selling coins like they are currently, the developer will be payed every time they sell an item(and a 1%-10% commission will be taken by me).
Their are some reasons why this would be appealing to users:
The main reason is because they can use the currency in any facebook game/application that supports our currency.
Another reason is instead of having to buy a lot of coins at the same time, you can just have the required amount of cash removed directly from your credit card/paypal.
Why it would be appealing to developers:
You don't have to deal with credit cards.
Gives indie developers a trusted platform, so buyers don't have to think twice.
Allows you to focus more on your game rather than making sure you have a safe reliable payment system.

Re: facebook dev looking for a team
I am sorry but your platform isn't trusted yet... and if it is why are you "testing it" on the indie gamers? please enlighten us on who has given you the ok for your app/software/code to be trusted by the world?
Re: facebook dev looking for a team
your right my app isn't trusted yet, it isn't even made yet, that's why i am not really asking for indie developers unless they are really interested.
Re: facebook dev looking for a team
Honestly it sounds like you are completely unprepared and really have nothing to offer except the ability to integrate games into the FB API which isn't hard to do anymore.
I would be interested in your "product" possibly but you would actually have to have something created for me to want to actually allow you near my scripts. No offense. Please let me know how the dev on it comes along because I may actually take you up on your offer if the proposal of your product is right and of course what I need.
