If you shuffled a large program worth of punchcards in the military back in the day, you could be dishonorably discharged lol. If you knocked over 20,000 punch cards onto the floor, it doesn't matter if they are numbered. The program was shot lol. (of course I didn't serve in the military back then, but my grandfather was a military programmer, and someone he knew got discharged for playing a "prank" that wasted months if not years of man power).OldRod wrote:Cobol? I never had any programs nearly that long, but it was still a pain.
