I downloaded Unity and find it pretty sweet. I gotta learn how to use it now :D
I was just wandering if there is was a free program that makes 3D assets for Unity?

You can use almost any 3D application to create the objects for Unity.

Here is a list of all the 3D formats you can import:

Blender 3D (can do animations) and Wings 3D (though cannot do animations) are free.

I have Blender 3D (The newest one) and I am still trying to figure out how to use it, cause I want to make an animated movie so bad. I think it would be fun...I started learning using Anim8or to get comfortable, and then I moved to Blender...so much different then Anim8or. Oh, and I tried 3dsMax...I opened it up, said F this and uninstalled it. I couldn't even figure out how to make a box...lol

Wings3d Anytime Anywhere
Wings for modeling is like play-doh, a 10 year old could figure it out. But a 20 year old could make art with that play-doh.
Very Advised and it exports to 3Ds which works great in U N I T Y

3DS Max is amazing. Takes a bit of getting used to, but it can do pretty much anything you need.

Eh, Blender can definitely put out some nice work, but I feel that 3DS Max can do it MUCH cleaner. Maybe I just didnt work with Blender enough, but I've always come out with much better results in 3DS than Blender.
