I'm looking to learn some HTML5 for game making purposes - I'm wondering about free opportunities to start with? Anyone have any suggestions?

HTML5 games are basically:

HTML + CSS + JS
So if you know all those you are up and running to make your game

Now some pre-made frameworks exist which help and save you time like phaser, pixel.js and of course game makers like mine (http://www.ludiculus.com)

Or you can start doing it yourself from scratch. Depends what kind of game (how complex, what kind of features you want, etc.) and your own knowledge.
