I think we may be seeing why Microsoft decided to throw away the legacy of IE. For years IE was always chasing behind other browsers such as Chrome and Firefox, first in HTML5 compliance, and then other technologies such as WebGL. But it seems that with Edge, MS's new browser for Windows 10, they may have made a pretty big jump to the front of the line with a completely new rendering and Javascript engine. As of today, Edge is winning among all browsers in ECMAscript 6 compliance according to Chakra. To those unfamiliar, ES6 is bringing an amazing new amount of features to Javascript, including more traditional OOP with classes.
