Ludiculus Beta

Hi guys,

Finally my latest project Ludiculus is reaching what I could consider a beta phase:

http://www.ludiculus.com/

The home page has most of what I was expecting, an arcade section, a basic forum, an about and a small chat. All that will be improved if I'm able to drive some traffic.

The maker itself is up and running, with a 2D physics engine, canvas rendering, local storage, score board, and many many features.
The tutorial section grows slowly, as well as the online help.
Now all what remains is basically have people starting to use it!

Comments, suggestions, feedback are welcome as always, and share the news if you can ;)

Cheers,

Alain

Added a new feature: HTML5 Export => it creates a zip file out of your project, and can therefore use it as you want.

- Polished a bit the layout of the maker, and added live themes. Which means, you can choose one of the provided theme and the colors will change live. By default the dark theme is used by the maker, but you can go back to the "Sepia" one. The home page layout is not yet updated.
- Added a favicon
- Added a loading screen for the maker.

The internet is really small. We are doing very similar project. As I already said on html5gamedevs, keep up the good work!

Have you considired a lighter theme? I can image such a dark theme can intimidate users, but it's probably just a matter of taste.

The theme can be changed by the user, there is already 2 available in the top right menu.

Now you can download a standalone version of the game maker (for windows only currently). The actor list shows a preview icon of the image or sprite. The editor now shows a grid if the grid editing is enabled.

The second tool I plan to offer is in progress:
Capture.JPG
It will be a sprite drawing software included within the game maker. Initially it will offer just a set to draw your sprites, but later on you will be able to produce animations directly.

Here is the early prototype:
