Does this movie really suck that bad?

3.1/10-IMDb
2%-Rotten Tomatoes

How bad can this movie really be if it has Nicholas cage in it?

Is that a rhetorical question?

Nicholas Cage at his best

haha yeah. One of the worse actors ever. Always plays the same guy in every movie. It is Raising Arizona 100x over.

I really don't get why there's so much hate on him... Ok Jacko that one clip was awful acting, but I dunno, I just can't say "that guy is a sh*tty actor" ... I like every movie I saw with him so far... Con Air, Knowing, National Treasures, that one where he jacks cars... I just don't get it... There's worst... like ... jaden smith...

I don't hate him, nor do I think he is the worst actor of all time. Obviously the worst actors of all time are people we have never heard of, because they didn't get anywhere. But I do believe he is getting lazier and lazier in each successive movie, and his performances seem to keep going down the drain.

I actually love Raising Arizona. It is one of my favorite movies of all time (also love Fargo and The Big Labowski, both by the Coen brothers, even though I don't get a lot of their other movies that are beloved, like O Brother Where Art Thou?) and I loved Nicholas Cage in that. But it has been a long time since I have seen him put that much effort into a role. Since then it always feels like he is just playing himself in a movie.

He is the Nephew of Francis Ford Coppola so yeah that is why he is known. Not for his acting.
