Very Cool Data Visualization

I saw this really cool Twitter visualization of the Ferguson shooting event spread over Twitter(video at bottom of article):

Cool! Even though data visualizations are quite often useless, they are cool.

I completely disagree with you Jack. Data scientists use data visualizations all the time in pretty much every industry.

Sorry, I really meant the super fancy ones are oftentimes useless or could be expressed in a more simple and usable manner. More standard statistical graphs and things like that are obviously useful and would also fit into data visualization.
