Nope. I would like to go to a dev thing one day though.

I have always wanted to go to BUILD. It is pricey, but they have always given some awesome stuff to attendees (they gave out Windows 8 tablets 6 months before they were for sale one year, a Windows 8 phone before they were available, etc.).

Yeah I am definitely planning to go to build next year.
This conference is giving out Surface 2 or a Xbox one. They should it costs around $2k!

Are the speakers and presentations good and stocked with Microsoft development team members? If so, then it can still be a great deal. Major dev conferences were expensive even before the gift bag thing became a common practice with Apple and Microsoft. So now you are at least getting some goodies "for free" with the passes.

Oh yeah it is one of the top MS dev conferences.

Oh yeah, I didn't see the slide show that listed all the names. Sounds like a good conference!

Haha! I just saw that one of the things you can get in the gift pack is a $300 MGM Grand gift card. Nooo! Get an Xbone at least instead of going and gambling away your gift bag (and probably then some) in 10 minutes at the craps table!

Yeah I know. I was like who in the world would pick that? Non techies? But why would non techies be there to begin with? I guess people that already have a surface 2 and a Xbox?

I guess there will be some non-techies there, who's companies paid for the option for all their employees to go. Maybe some of the people in HR or accounting go just for a free trip to Vegas lol.
