Who do y'all use for your domains? I'm looking someone good and cheap as possible.

I'm consdering 1&1, they're .99 for the first year and then $14.95.

My host and domain are with tech-hosts.co.uk at the moment. The domain alone is 7€ which is about 11$.. I don't know if they have a registrar themselves though.

I use https://www.namecheap.com/ since a good number of years and never had any issues.

I think I may go with namecheap...They have a cheap first year option and their pricing is about the same as domain.com and cheaper than most other places. The first year is going to be the most tight for us, financially so the first-year option is important.

So you buy your domain through there and rather than selling it, you just use it? Or am I missing something?

I vouch for namecheap.com. I tend to just find .50$ coupons when I need a quick domain, but when it is for serious projects, I always choose namecheap.com. I like their service and support and also you get free whois guard included. I would never use GoDaddy, especially not their hosting. I had a webshop hosted on GoDaddy hosting and all mails from the server were delayed with about 3 hours. This killed my trust a lot, because users wouldn't get a comfirmation email before 3 hours after the sale.

Basically I buy at wholesale tax free, any profit I make on-top of that goes to me. For some domain names they are quite expensive however even at "wholesale" prices. If you have a good bond with them they give you better offers. And you can also say you own a web hosting company :D . And they do/you can offer nearly every TLD you can think of.
