I need some funny stories of people and their (lack of) tech literacy for a website I am working on. It can be anything related to technology, not just computers.

When I worked for Direct TV we had a lady that was several months behind on her bill. She said she was running her card so she knows she paid. We did not see any card payments so asked her where she was paying and she said she was putting the card in the receiver like she was suppose to.
Basically that little slot for your programmed cards that use to be on Satellite Receivers, yeah she was inserting her credit card and thinking it was paying the bill.
Same company we had a blind guy attempt to sue us because we sent him a remote that was not glow in the dark.
I once troubleshot a computer for a work at home agent and after 15 minutes she realized her monitor was unplugged.

Set up a stand outside of wal-mart (ask the manager first, they should have no problem though...) with a laptop/tablet and ask people to do stuff, but tell them they'll be recorded, and then sit back and watch

I went to Best buy to get a serial cable, the guy I asked said they don't sell cereal and I should try the market up the road.
Edit: Forgot to ask if I can use these for the website I am working on.

Hilarity.
Your average person really has no clue about computers. They usually know how to turn it on, and sometimes how to open a browser. That is at least 80% of their knowledge.
