I think i will never trust bitcoins system...

How can one just "mine" money? That sounds like impossible to me, imo.
And now there's not only Bitcoin as there are Litecoins and possibly more.. I prefer the old US$, for me the best currency in the world.

I used to use BitCoins back 2010 for the Silk Road. I stopped using it after a few months though. I hear they're shooting way up in price though?

If you have some left over you should check it out. They're doubling in value nearly ever 2 weeks in the current trend.

I still don't get the concept how a currency can raise like that... if you mine it from the "air" why is the value so high?

The more bitcoins the harder they become to mine. This holds the balance of bitcoins. The harder it is to mine the more value they start to gain. It's all about the hardware that calculates the bitcoins. As long as the current hardware resources available doesn't change dramatically, there shouldn't be any major drop in their value. The best part is it's anonymous.

Bitcoins are virtual currencies based on some odd math formula. Now by themselves they have the same value as monopoly currencies, however some people started to deal with them and exchange it (in both direction) against usual currencies. That allowed some people to wash dirty money and more. Sorry I don't trust all that bitcoins stuff, never trusted it, and don't plan any soon to jump on it. Call me stupid, but even if I could make a lot of money like that I somewhat do not feel it.

Yeah, I don't think I will ever mess with them. Since they have no regulating body, if someone ever did find a way to duplicate them, or in some other way hack them, they would just stay in the market, and everyone who bought them previous to the event would be screwed.

Sorry, what's the whole 'mining' concept involved?

So far it sounds kinda ponzi'ish.
