Cubicverse is progressing. From a mere prototype to actually the start of a game. I still have loads of missing features (some left out on purpose like the state saving).

You can check the latest version:
http://www.cubicverse.com

If you already played it, once logged in, press F4. Such that you start where you should.

Worked on the art (and added quiet a few things there), worked on the map, worked on the NPC, and the combat, as well as the world generation (which is in a worker thread now while you walk, which means walking from one area to the other is now COMPLETELY smooth).

Map editor (which you will not be able to test) has been improved as well, and many bug fix and improvements.

Wow, tested it. That's really cool.

Noticed one spider that was spawned in water, but I guess it's not that relevant at this point :D

Keep up the good work!

Well, monsters should not spawn in water, but could be on the edge and you see them on the water.

I was wondering if you were still going on this one since the updates in your thread slowed down. Glad to see this is still full-steam ahead! I will have to check this back out again :)

I didn't stopped at all. Simply some stuff need more time to actually make any visible change.

I heat that! That is what I was hoping it was, since this is a really impressive project!

This is totally cool! What game engine are you using? Coded it yourself?

Yes it's self made. I just used node.js, socket.io and mongodb and some self written code on the server side, while on the client side is (nearly) all self written beside a perlin noise and a random generator.

Art is self done too.

  1. The quest options (checks and actions) have been improved. More to do with NPC (I worked locally on more stuff but it's not all ready in my opinion).
  2. A new minialistic wiki appeared, which shall be improved over time.
I added new monsters too (bear, fox).
I added a new sword (wood sword) which you should be able to craft.
  3. NPC dialogs and wiki can show a crafting formula in the form of [craft]object_name[/craft]
  4. I added road blocks to be able to draw roads, but currently there is no smart tools like in NEaB which draws the road for you.
  5. I should have fixed the bug with chests.
  6. I added commands and checks to create quests items directly from the NPC dialog. Quests items are not droppable, and cannot be used either.
  7. The inventory now offers an option to drop stuff.
There have been some more hidden work, but for most that should be it.

I assuming it's for the same reason Wsric doesn't work for me, however when I click register it waits around 5 seconds and then goes back to "loading scripts" sending me back to the login screen.
