I am new to Game Development all together. I have been working as a web designer/developer for about 5 years and need another creative outlet. I've always had a passion for classic 2d games, and hope to create one of my own. I'll focus most of my time on HTML5/Javascript games. I know HTML/CSS but am relatively new to Javascript, so ready or not, here come the questions

I look forward to the content here as well as the camaraderie between creatives that's obviously here. Cheers to a new project!

Thanks, I'll definitely look through those! The more tutorials the better. As I mentioned, I'm relatively new to js so, hopefully by the time I'm ready to build something, I'll have my head wrapped around the basics. Foolishly or not, I am trying to come up with a basic story and art for my first simple game. Once I know what that is, it should help me know what kinda mechanics I have to eventually build.
