Hello guys! I want to announce my withdraw from game developement , but first, I want to thank you for these years of learn, tutorials and kindness. My reasons are very clearly, I want to do a career from web developement and I'm going to create a portofolio then I search a good job in this way . It was very nice to work hours and hours, but this was a hobby for me, the reason of my entire web experience . Thank you again, and I wish to a big success in next projects !

You don't have to leave just because you aren't working on games! I haven't worked on a game for over 2 years now, and I don't know if I ever will again. There are plenty of people around here working on non-game projects, showing them off, asking for help, and getting feedback. In fact, sometimes I almost think we could be half and half now from what I have seen over the last year or so. Or at least 34-66.

And we can still help out on web questions as we always have. No reason to leave.

Well, I don't leave the community of course. But, no more game developement for me, I am going to create a lot of web applications, content management systems, frameworks, templates (psd to css) etc. The last project, now all files and psd`s are at Alexander, also a member here. Now I'm thinking to create a CMS for every team who need a website. The irony .. all my entire knowledge was from desire to create games.

Same here. I would not have landed a software engineer position if it was not for my strong passion for game development.

A bit offtopic, is it normal to feel a empty in me as far as game dev? I just make games.. and in the end i feel empty.. i feel i've acomplished 0... Is it normal?

I am most depressed when I don't have project to work on or can't decide what to work on. It is a very empty feeling.

Well me too, but when i finish something i have that feeling that it was easy.. and anyone could do it.. and it doesn't make anyone happy blablabla.. its kinda bad..

It takes a while to finally get something going, but it is an amazing feeling when you do. The thing is, if you are making PBBGs, getting the software completed is only half the battle. You need to promote it and try to get people to try it out. While it is nice to do a little promotion here (and it is very easy, too), we aren't the main players of the PBBGs made here, since we are mostly devs working on our own projects. You have to take it to the game playing public, and focus on player-oriented sites and resources. It is quite satisfying when your game is humming with dedicated players.
