Hello everyone I am very new to coding although I have a passion to develop games.

I had given up ambition to become a game designer as I am bad in math and science. However, I never stopped gaming. Until recently when my passion for games became so strong I decided to become a game designer despite the odds. I have no knowledge about coding in any language at all and know very little about computer compared to all of you.
For a start I am trying to gain as much knowledge as possible on coding. I am currently check out Node JS and what it is all about. As my frist project I am planning to design an online text based MMORPG game such as the theninja-rpg . But I don't think I will start this project until a few months. Since I have estimated that about 4 to 5 months will be the amount of time required for me to learn some decent amount of coding and gather a small to team to make this project into a reality.

Any suggestions and help you can provide would be much appreciated.

Thanks :)

Hi and welcome the forum.

Your idea is pretty neat. I think you should start practicing the stuff that you need to make a browser game and keep informing the board members of your progress.

Welcome to the community!

Definitely go and check out the video tutorials, especially the one for the Browser Based MMORPG. There are 38 videos I believe and it will definitely point you in the right direction.

Most of all, have fun!

good to see you have an understanding that it will take time and you are willing to learn before expecting immediate results.

Just hang in there and trust me it all gets easier and clearer as time goes on.
