I used this engine a while back and went against it after having difficulty setting it up

I also tinkered around with Dragon Knight engine and intended to heavily modify it into a Sci-Fi based game. I have been meaning to implement more HTML5 graphical elements into it, but got sidetracked. This is as far as I got xcalpro.com/gtraders
