node.js non-installable version?

Howdy,
I was wandering if anyone knew if there is a version of node.js that is a non-installable version that does not mess with the registry like xampp? Trying to do the node tutorial from udemy.com. Thank you again Halls for the tutorials they are addicting.

Do you mean like a portable version of node.js? There is one
here. I believe that should allow you to simply put it on a flash drive and develop on the go, or on reduced-rights systems. Note however that I don't think this is an official version, so you could potentially run into issues. I don't know from first hand experience, though, as I have never used it

Yep basically reduced rights version installation software is what im needing due to anti creative businesses.
