WAS NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING...

I was so anxious to see this movie and then smack! It was like waiting on a super hot day for a Ice Cream cone and then getting smacked in the face with a bowl of poo.

The movie had its okay spots and if you are a big Ridly Scott fan or a Alien fan then it is a must see and it is worth watching. I was just expecting something else and expecting something better.

I guess the real question is if what you were expecting was an Alien prequel? Because if I was to watch it today that is what I would be expecting. Is that not really what it was?

basically but I was not expecting that at all. I was expecting something with more storyline and meat. I never liked Aliens. I did not realize that was what is was suppose to be. I never put two and two together.

Yeah, it struck me as kind of odd that the fact it was an Alien movie was not really disclosed, and essentially left it up to word-of-mouth for people to find out. It was well after I had seen the commercials for it that I found out it was an Alien movie.

I need to admit, i've downloaded it but i watched like half an hour of it and it's just so boring...
The audio lag didn't help too... but i was expecting like some kind of space war or aliens attacking like hell.. But nop..

yep, it was very boring and the commercials were actually higher def than the movie to me. The graphics and props were awesome but there was no plot to really carry any of it.

I remember being stoked about this coming out and was planning to see in opening weekend. But then I read an advance review of it the night before it opened and got really turned off by it. I'll wait for cable/Netflix

It has a really high rating on IMDB (~7.5, which is very high for there), so I am wondering if it is maybe just for Alien fans. Most Alien movies move very slowly for quite a while. I don't know, though

I give it a 4.

I'm trash scifi and horror fan (read: all about 50s xD) and I watch movies regularly. For this one, I expected some nice things (not too much) so I went to cinema. And of course, it turned out to be full of ordinary approaches and useless characters and convos. 3D effects were low and not interesting (there were better scenes to push the effect, but they've pushed it in boring ones, oh well). All in all, it's worth seeing as a movie that has something to do with trash - which it actually is, especially with 80s way of representing the scientists! - but other than that, don't expect anything
