Hello all community!!!

So i got my vacations running XD and i want to do something usefull out of them. I got an android mobile phone, 2.2 Froyo and i like the OS pretty much. I know its open source and there are very tutorials on how to develop applications to it.

The questions is, should i? Well.. should i begin developing to android ..? Is it usefull in the future... ? Anyone knows something about android development here :D?

Also i know it is java based right? Is it cool to start from scratch, because i never coded in java.

Hmm i would say no but if you do, use an engine. There are a ton out there. Not sure which ones are free.

Only reason I say no is don't stretch yourself too far. If you want to learn Java anyways then you might gain something out of it. I think you can use C# now too though for android but unless you plan on being a android developer from now on I would not recommend it. Build it with HTML5 then it can run on any smart phone.

Well, i was just fascinated with it because i saw a series of tutorials where one of them was for voice recognition application and i love voice recognition and automation.

Do you know some place where i can find voice recognition software development for windows?
