Java, Tips, Recomendations

Post by Viper »

Well i have begun to learn java but i was wondering if any of you have recomendations for small simplistic programs i can make for extra practice?

it would probably take a while for me to be able to do some big stuff but if you have any ideas i would love to hear them :)

You should tell them what your skill level is. Make a scientific calculator. I know you probably haven't learned how to make GUI's yet. So just make a console scientific calculator. I made a calculator for school as well :). Way better than going out and buying some retarded $120 calculator. It does all the work for me :P. Even shows me how I made it. Has an ugly ass UI though. Oh well not in math class this semester. Anyhow yeah I think you should make a scientific calculator that or an text rpg.

Hehe no problem although if you don't mind me asking was the useful tip making a calculator for class to avoid paying the extremely overpriced pieces of plastic. I mean I don't want to rant or anything but seriously if you can make the calculator obviously you know how to do the math :).
