Hi All
I have joined as I have enjoyed the videos I have watched so far.
My aim over this year is to write a browers game. I have basic programming knowledge, mainly Java.
If anyone is able to point me in the right direction that would be good. I have already seen the post on how to setup mysql,php, etc. This looks like a really good tool that i am going to run later today.
I guess my first step would be to learn PHP. is this correct and are there any videos I can watch. I am not really a book person. lol

Welcome!
The videos here under the YouTube Tutorials forum section should help out to learn the basics of PHP to make a PBBG (browser RPG). Many people here learned PHP from them, and you will be even better off knowing a bit of Java before-hand!

Thanks for the update
I have a little Java knowledge, very basic but I am looking at improving on this.
I have started to watch the PHP videos and have started to write my script for user log ins. So far all looks to be very stright forward. The issue will be to try and remember the content.
I have just got to video 5

Hi,
nice to have you onboard.
I have the same goal as you and just startet about 2 month ago with my project.
Before that time i just had known a little Visual Basic, but the vid tuts and the community here are incredible and they help you to learn rly fast.
Would be nice if you tell us something about your Game Concept and your Ideas.

I have listed my idea in the game design section. I have now started to write the log in script but had a few issues with myphoadmin not working. I have to change localhost to 127.0.0.1 to get it to load. Miner issue which took awhile to find the answer.
How is your game coming along.
