Browser MMO Tutorial Question,s

On the browser mmo tutorial .I have a couple of questions .?
1.do you need to kill the creatures/monsters each time.i.e could their info not stay in he database. so they can be fought from a certain location.
2. i also would like to take out the shop setup from fighting and use that as a inventory but keep a shop you can buy things from say a location.(this will probally appear in more tutorials )
i have a load of other questions but will ask as and if i need to because they as well will come with knowledge from more tutorials .
but a big thank you to all here that are helping with the tutorials and making this site what it is.
